A Note from The Virtual WallThe After-Action Report for Operation OKLAHOMA HILLS contains the following entry:"At 121230H [12:30 PM, 12 Apr 1969], I/3/7 vicinity (ZC203623) received small arms and ChiCom grenades. Returned small arms, automatic weapons and called fire mission. Swept area, found numerous blood trails. Res: 2 USMC KIA, 2 USMC WIA(E)."The two Marines killed in the action were LCpl Stephen M. Fry and Pfc Curtis S. Woods of La Crosse, Wisconsin. |
