Stephen M Fry was my daughter's uncle. He died long before she was born but she feels an intense connection to him. His name lives on in her heart. We honor his memory. This memorial is for the two of them and for legacy.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

The After-Action Report for Operation OKLAHOMA HILLS contains the following entry:
"At 121230H [12:30 PM, 12 Apr 1969], I/3/7 vicinity (ZC203623) received small arms and ChiCom grenades. Returned small arms, automatic weapons and called fire mission. Swept area, found numerous blood trails. Res: 2 USMC KIA, 2 USMC WIA(E)."
The two Marines killed in the action were LCpl Stephen M. Fry and Pfc Curtis S. Woods of La Crosse, Wisconsin.
