I have no words,
but I still cry.

A memorial from a friend,

I served with Steve.

He gave up his life so his friend Pulido could live. He was a true soldier and friend. He willingly took his friend's place and entered the bunker. I am not sure if this is appropiate but I would like to talk to anyone who knew Steve. Please contact me.

I was with Steve when he was killed. He volunteered to go into a tunnel to pull out dead enemy. They were waiting. He was very brave. I was Steve's body escort to his grave in Huntington Beach. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and the sacrifice he made.

From his best friend,
