David Canales, I do not know about you yet. As I go deeper into my mission of giving you men the honor you earned, I will learn about you. I've spoken to Leonard Lawrence, I'll ask him next time we speak to see if he knew you. I imagine Alpha Company was providing security for LZ HEREFORD that day. You were all part of a historical battle, one that I will not allow to fall silently into a few books. I will push for your memories, every one of you men, because I know you've earned it. Thank you, Mr. Canales, for securing my future with your actions.

"HONOR AND COURAGE"

In Gerry Metcalf's memory,
James Oldham
