The following article is taken from The Philadelphia Daily News, special supplement entitled 'SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY,' October 26, 1987. The special supplement was issued in conjunction with the dedication of the Philadelphia Viet Nam Memorial.
The Benjamin Franklin High School graduate worked as a stockboy before joining the Marine Corps in August 1965. The 18-year-old private first class was sent to Viet Nam, where he was assigned to Company M of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He died in Quang Tri Province on March 5, 1966, less than a month after arriving in Viet Nam. Survivors included his mother, stepfather, and several brothers and sisters.

SEMPER FIDELIS, MARINE!
