Mike,

We grew up as friends and did many things togother, we went to Nam, you as a soldier and me as a Marine, still learning things together. I wish I could have been with you on your final day. I know all of your family is gone but you are still remembered.

Michael,

I saw you off that morning in Quincy... Donuts and coffee, it all seemed so normal. We chatted about what you were going to do when you got home... Well, you came home but not to finish those dreams... But I thought of you today, the 4th of July... I got to live some of my dreams because you sacrificed yours for our freedom. I hope you are still playing rock and roll. I'll see you again, some day.
