A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 08 Feb 1968 Alpha Company, 1/9th Marines, engaged in a vicious fight near the rock quarry at Khe Sanh. Twenty-five Marines and two Navy Corpsmen are known to have died in the battle.

1stSgt Turner died on 11 Feb 1968 of wounds received in combat, but the date he was wounded is not known. He may be the 28th known casualty of the 08 Feb battle.
