05 Jun 2007 Art was my Ranger Buddy in OCS. The only thing we had in common was that our names were next to each other in the alphabet. He was a Green Beret, I was a Joe College just out of the University of Georgia who was drafted and ended up in OCS. He was a good friend and we were very close. I miss him. A Note from The Virtual Wall On 01 Sep 1971 an AH-1G Cobra (tail number 68-15041) from H Troop, 16th Cavalry, failed to pull out after a weapons run against a bunker complex south of Fire Support Base Mace, killing the two crewmen: CPT Larry J. Kluever, Washington, DC, pilot, and CPT Arthur Tomaschek, Allentown, PA, copilot.
