Dear David Taylor,

Your death as a hero to our country will never be forgotten. I don't know who you are but I'm thankful for what you were fighting for. It must have been really hard for you to have seen what you saw in the war. It must have been a tough journey for you. But you're in a better place now, so thank you for what you have fought for. Thank you and you will be remembered.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

While conducting a sweep on 28 Oct 1968 Fox Company 2/26 was hit by 20 rounds of 82mm mortar fire at BT065625. Five men were killed and 15 evacuated with wounds. The dead were
  • SSgt Clinton M. Gault, Eloy, AZ;
  • Sgt Harry L. Wells, Memphis, TN;
  • HM3 Francis L. Rossell, Haddonfield, NJ (Corpsman, H&S with Fox 2/26);
  • Cpl David S. Taylor, Hilliard, FL; and
  • LCpl Rocky L. Blair, Long Beach, CA.
