I did not know Lt. Sudborough but as an alumni of his high school I wanted to ensure his listing here. Lt. Sudborough graduated from Camden High School in San Jose, California in 1960. His tour of duty began December 4, 1966. He died March 21, 1967 in Kontum, South Vietnam at the age of twenty-four. The photo is from the senior high school yearbook, 1960.
I know of one other Camden classmate lost in this war - U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Bob Masuda, Camden class of 1965.
Camden High School closed in 1980 but a website and email list has sprung up. Every Memorial Day these two names are sent out to hundreds of their fellow classmates so that they, and the sacrifice they made, may not be forgotten.
