Kenny and I went to high school together at Cold Spring, MN.
I was still in the Army when he died. I want him to be remembered for the sacrifice he made. I know his family misses him every day.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

Petty Officer Kenneth Stommes was assigned to the Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, but his duties would have been with the Battalion Aid Station or in the field with one of the rifle companies. On 27 Oct 1967, the 1/4 Marines were heavily engaged and each of the four rifle companies lost men killed in action - 1 from Alpha, 7 from Bravo, 2 from Charlie, 4 from Delta. We don't know which company Petty Officer Stommes was with.
