Dennis Stiglitz personified the typical infantryman serving in RVN in 1968. He just wanted to get home alive. The significant difference Dennis projected was his clear dedication to his God, not sure of his personal philosophy but I never heard him swear or in any way reject his beliefs as many of us did during those confused times. I've relived that day in May of 68 when so many of the grunts in 3rd platoon Charlie Co 4/31/196 had their lives changed forever. Dennis died young, I want his family to know he died a man.
