On April 21, 1969, you shared a destiny with my brother, James Harold Autrey. Together you were on bridge patrol in the Nua Ngia area when you were ambushed by the enemy. You and James were shot and both died instantly from "massive fragmentation, ground casualty".

Thirty-three years ago, I was told of you, but only yesterday, October 27, 2002 did I learn your name. I am honored to know you after all these years, and am comforted in knowing my brother was not alone and that you were with him in his final moments. I am also comforted in knowing you were not alone, that James was with you also.

Neither of you will be forgotten.
