SSG Garcia was an outstanding NCO, Soldier and fellow Squad Leader, who gave all on that fateful day, 3 July l966. He was the 2d Squad Leader, 3d Platoon, Co B, 1st Bn, 35th Inf, 3d Bde, 25th Inf Div. SSG Garcia was killed in action in the Ia Drang Valley (Pleiku Province).

He will never be forgotten and is sadly missed by me.


He is also remember by his comrades in the
35th Infantry Regiment

Puerto Rico National Cemetery, Bayamï¿ 1/2 n, Puerto Rico,
surrounded by other men of honor, integrity, and courage.
