On LCPL Smith's DD1300 his unit is reported as C CO, 9TH MOTOR TRANS BN, 3RD MARDIV, III MAF. However, his Record of Service shows he was transferred to C Co, 3rd MT Bn on 21 May 1965, two days before he drowned on 23 May. |
