Denis is buried in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn (Bergen County), New Jersey. He is there with his maternal grandmother, Ella, his Uncle Elroy, and his father, Nicholas. He was, and is, survived by his mother Johanna, his wife Elizabeth, and his son Anthony.
