Phillip was my dad's best friend growing up. I never met him myself, his daughter Kristi and I were born while our dads were overseas. I feel like I know what type of guy he was. My dad speaks of him often. Phillip was a fun loving guy, always wanted to have a good time. He was one of 8 boys killed from Coweta, OK. Our town has never forgotten any of "our boys". Several years ago the Moving Wall came to Coweta, I can count on one hand how many times I have seen my dad shed tears. This was the most. He misses him and the life they had planned together with their wives and children. He would be a grandpa now. His brother John misses him terribly ... he thinks and talks about him a lot these days. John has been diagnosed with cancer. I feel honored to have been born to a Vietnam Vet. I shed tears when I hear our National Anthem. I am proud of our Coweta boys and their families for their sacrifices they have made. With never ending love and appreciation. One of the kids, Janice Pearson
