Richard W Rossignol served his Navy with pride. He served aboard the USS Julius A. Furer (DEG-6) as an Enginemen and was liked by all crew members. He was a very funny guy. I was working in a damage control locker one day and he walked up behind me with the hood of our NBC warfare gear over his head. He scared me but we both laughed about it. I took a picture of him in it with his big smile and put it on my Ship's website. I will never forget the good times on liberty we had together. I will miss him a lot along with his shipmates.

EN3 Rossignol is on Panel 28W, Line 086 of the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 3 years.

He is remembered on the
USS FURER Memorial Page

A Note from The Virtual Wall

At the time of his death Petty Officer Rossignol was serving in-country with the River Patrol Force at Nha Be. For that reason he also is remembered on the

MRFA's Task Force 116 Memorial
