I served with Bobby Rogers while with Kilo Co. 3/26th Marines. Bobby was a fun guy and an excellent Marine. We served time on numerous operations and aboard ships waiting to go out in the field.

Bobby lost his life stepping on a land mine. I was with Bobby at the time, but was 30 yards away when the mine went off. He never had a chance as we were in the middle of a mine field.

I will never forget Bobby.
