I never got to know my Uncle Bobby, but I've always felt a connection to him. Bobby died on April 2, 1968, and I was born in June of 1969. My parents gave me my middle name of "Robert" in honor of him and maybe this is why I've always felt close to him. This bond became even stronger in January of 1997 after I visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC and touched Bobby's name on Panel 47E Row 042. I think about him often and wonder what he would be like today at the age of 54. This memorial is from all of us who love and miss Bobby, especially my mother.

Nephew to Bobby
son of Helen Rassel Erickson (Bobby's sister)
