Don is an adopted honoree of the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial located at Midland International Airport, Midland, Texas. Although Don was not from the area, one of the founding members of the memorial placed his name for adoption and it was ratified by the membership. Don is remembered by that organization and by his community and by the state of Kentucky. May his sacrifice not be in vain.

Donald's first cousin, John Philbeck, is the president and founding member of the Permian Basin Vietnam Veterans' Memorial located in Midland, Texas. John is a tireless worker and fund raiser and is one of the primary people who have contributed to the ongoing sucess of the Memorial. John submitted Don's name to be included in our Memorial and at the time of the construction, John placed some of Don's memoriabila into the concrete foundation. To John, your cousin's sacrifice will always be remembered.
