Allan,

Although it has been over thirty years ago, I have thought of you each and every day since you departed. Upon my safe arrival back in the states and upon seeing my loved ones and they, seeing me safe, I broke down and cried because I was thinking of you and how it could have been. Sitting around with you and playing your guitar made the time pass a little easier for me. It could have just as easily been me, but I didn't stop by your hooch that evening. I just heard that awful whistling sound go overhead and the horrible explosion that took you away. Why you and not me?

You gave all of your tomorrows for my today. I miss your smile and your caring, friendly attitude. God rest your soul.

A remembrance from a friend,
