I believe you are the one that was my ammo man, while on the 1890 Pile Driving Barge in Binh Thuy, and if you were I remember you but blocked your name out of memory. I remember grabbing your hand while you were on watch with me, keeping me with ammo for my M-16, one very dark night expecting to be hit, and how cold your hand was when I placed it on top of my gun so you would know where the gun was at, because it was so dark. I just started searching for you because you need to be remembered and never forgotten. Your death was not in vain nor should it be forgotten. I just remember you as the boy with a "baby looking face", so very young and so very scared! You disappeared and were found up river, and I will never forget!

I just today found out who you really were: You were Don Neil Pensyl, who was in the Welding Explosion on the "1890" Pile Driving Barge, that was in the Delta for the 523RD ENG CO (PC) in 1971, and not the one I dream about that was missing that I wrote about in the above memorial, someday I will find him also. It seems as though we all who served with you so proudly, have blocked out a whole lot of what went on, and now we know that it was you and now know your name.

From a fellow brother and a comrade who served with you proudly,
Woodrow "Woody" Harris
