I served with Dennis in the 1st Plt in VN. We were good friends and since my Dad was born in Bemidji, Minnesota, we often talked about Minnesota while in the field. He always said to come and visit him in Minnesota when we got home. I was transferred in Feb 68 to Delta Co. and lost track of my A Co. brothers. After 40 years, I have come into contact with my 1st plt brothers again. I was deeply saddened to learn of Dennis' death in battle. Dennis was the 1st Plt RTO while I knew him. He was then promoted to A Company Commander's RTO. This was a very important job in communications during war time. He served ably but died much too young. He was a hero. He will not be forgotten.
