Before my Uncle left for Vietnam he asked my dad and his other brothers that if he did not make it home from Vietnam to name the first-born son in his memory. Even though I never knew him I always wanted to know of him and his life. I'm proud to have his name and I'm honored to carry on his Legacy.
A note from The Virtual WallPrivate First Class Sherman Otis died in the fighting in the Ia Drang Valley in November 1965.
