A Note from The Virtual WallOn 03 Dec 1968 the 116 men of D Company, 2/7th Cavalry, were attacked by an enemy force estimated at 400 men or more at Landing Zone Eleanor, 17 miles northwest of Phuoc Vinh. By the end of the five hour battle, Delta 2/7 had lost 26 men, and 50 or more others had been wounded. |
