PFC CLIFFORD ABDUL Mc KENNAN
|
I did not know Cliff but he was the first casualty from Point Pleasant in Vietnam. I was from Tom's River and later settled in Point Pleasant. The school system recently placed a plaque at Ocean Road School at a long overdue ceremony to honor him, as he attended that school prior to High School. He scored the first varsity touchdown for the new Point Pleasant Borough High School before he enlisted. I served in Vietnam in 1967-1968 and can recall those days of honor and terror vividly.
