Doing a school research project about Vietnam vets, I chose from where I was born. I live in Maine now, but I am glad to know this veteran. My school is in Carmel, Maine, Caravelle Middle School. Thanks for posting this imformation. Daniel

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 04 May 1967, 1st Bn 5th Infantry was conducting a sweep through the Ho Bo Woods. During the day six men were killed in separate actions, four from the Recon Platoon and one each from A and B Companies:
  • A Company:
    • PFC William E. McGinnis, Grand Haven, MI

  • B Company:
    • SSG James N. Law, Martinsburg, WV
