The photo and article are taken from the Philadelphia Daily News of October 26, 1987. The special supplement entitled, 'SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY,' was published in conjunction with the dedication of the Philadelphia Viet Nam Memorial.

"Kuprevich volunteered for a second tour in Viet Nam because he thought it would make his time in the Marine Corps go faster, his mother said. However, he found the second tour much rougher, and he lost 20 pounds the first few months he was assigned to Company E of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Kuprevich enlisted in November 1963 after graduating from Northeast Catholic High School. The corporal, a machine-gunner, died in Da Nang, Quang Nam Province, five days before Christmas Day 1966. He was 21 years old and was survived by his parents and three sisters."
Semper Fidelis, Marine!
