Kenny was a medic in the Vietnam War. He was born in Manitoba Canada. He is a true Hero. He gave his life so we could have freedom. He is a guardian angel in heaven. God Bless you Kenny. We love you very much.

21 April 1968

Members of 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division were deployed in a night position on the north bank of the Song Be River, about 7 miles southeast of Phuoc Vinh Air Field. A friendly howitzer battery in the vicinity was providing fire support for the paratroopers. Four 155mm rounds, however, fell short of their objective and struck the American's position. Six paratroopers were killed in the incident, and at least 19 were wounded.

SP5 Kotyluk was evacuated to a military hospital and placed on the very seriously ill list but expired on the 24th of April. He was survived by his mother Stella O Yarotski Kotyluk (1920-2017), father Michael Kotyluk (1910-2001), brothers Raymond L Kotyluk (1942-2017), and Ernie and sister Michelle.

Kenneth is interred at Mount Vernon memorial park, Sacramento, Sacramento, California. His parents are inurned there as well.
