| Richard Knapp was a draftee and a graduate of NCO school. He joined C 2/5 Cav in July, 1969. At the time of his death, SSG Knapp was assigned to the company "Ready Reaction Force" and field logistics, but had previously served as the Platoon Sergeant for 1st Platoon. |
