A Note from The Virtual Wall

Three men died when an OH-6A helicopter (tail number 68-17219) from HQ Company, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, was shot down on 16 Sep 1969:
  • WO Walter S. Olinsky, Revere, MA, pilot, HHC 2nd Bde;
  • LTC Alfred G. Sapp, Fort Meade, MD, passenger, HHC 2/8 Infantry; and
  • CPT John J. Kalen, Milford, MA, passenger, Alpha 2/8 Infantry.
