A Note from The Virtual Wall

Alpha Company, 1/9th Marines, lost three men on 24 Aug 1967:
  • Cpl Joseph B. Comeaux, Winnie, TX
  • Cpl Michael E. Jones, Baltimore, MD
  • Pfc Joe L. Lee, Jacksonville, FL
Bravo Company lost six more men on the same day ... all nine were killed by enemy bombardment.
