A CO, 4TH BN, 31ST INF RGT, 196 INF BDE
From Schoharie, NY
01 April 1944 - 06 June 1970
I knew Dennis at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. I believe he was the son of a clergyman and his way of being re-inforced this. I left to join the Army (Medical Corps) before we graduated and returned later to find this quiet, gentle man had given his life to his country. I'm told he had just received the wonderful news of his daughter's birth and was eager to get back to the World ASAP. He was caught in an ambush soon after. I hope his compassionate and peaceful ways live on in his daughter. He was my friend. God's speed, Dennis.
