Ben was from the oilfield town of Odessa, Texas. He was drafted into the U. S. Army and was killed in his second month in Vietnam. He is remembered by his community and by the Permian Basin Vietnam Memorial. His younger brother was a Marine Veteran of Vietnam with Bravo Company, First Battalion, 9th Marines. May his sacrifice never be forgotten.
