Thank you for your service.

My fiance's father knew this serviceman in his civilian life - they attended high school together. While visitng his own mother's grave, he came across Mr. Hayward's grave, and asked me to look into what had happened to the young man. I found some record of him elsewhere, but no profile on this site. I just wanted to rectify that.

Four crewmen from HQ Company, 2nd Bde, 101st Abn Div, died when their UH-1H HUEY (hull number 67-19530) was shot down 10 kilometers southwest of Hue:
