I'm writing this so Allan will not be forgotten. I live about 4 blocks from where Allan is laid to rest. One day I was walking around in New Hope Cemetery when I found a grave grown up. I cleaned the grave. I found it was too much to let a fellow Vietnam veteran's grave go uncleaned and not looked after. If anyone knew Allan Guinn from the 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, rest assured his grave will be maintained as long as I'm alive! When we entered Vietnam, we became suddenly aware that we were entering into the heart of darkness and the edge of civilization: But we entered.. our Country was beckoning. Illusion and reality blended into the landscape, and time as we knew it stopped! We now became brothers in arms - as William Shakespeare said, "For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother... "
