Larry grew up in our "southside" neighborhood. I was at my home in June 1969, and he was going west for training, then Vietnam. I talked to him, but we both had planes to catch out of O'Hare. I made it home, but he never did.

Larry, I know you were a good soldier. Rest in peace, old friend.

You are more than a name on a wall.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 09 Jan 1970 D Company, 1/6th Infantry, engaged an enemy force 9 miles south of Tam Ky. Five US soldiers were killed during the engagement:
