| Specialist Four Richard Edward Griego was killed in action, on 29 March l969, in Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam, soon after combat assaulting into an area that was given the name LZ Jess. SP4 Griego was an outstanding Soldier who gave all on that fateful day. He was a member of the 3rd Platoon and I was his Platoon Sergeant. The memories of SP4 Griego, who paid the ultimate sacrifice, will be with me always. |
