Henry and I met in the early 60s while attending RCC in Riverside. We played on the RCC baseball team; he was a fine ball player. What I remember most about Henry is his infectious smile ... and he was always smiling. Everyone liked Henry; he was fun to be with and enjoyed teasing everyone. He drove a cherry metallic green old Ford pickup. It was a very old model, 1937 or 1938, I am not certain. Nonetheless, the truck was his pride and joy. Apparently, he was killed a month after I arrived in Vietnam. We did not serve together, but I'm certain he was a fine soldier and died honorably. God bless you, Henry.

Henry Gomez was a good friend.

I really knew Henry's little brother more than Henry.
Davey is his name. I remember Henry as a good example
of a person that really wanted to make something of
himself. We all had paper routes and were together in
the boy scouts and other group activities that our
neighborhood had going in the sixties. I remember when
we all heard of Henry's heroic death. I believe that he was
a paratrooper. I am glad to have been Henry Gomez' friend.
