Ed was a very good guy and we were good friends at Iaeger Junior High. I moved to Michigan and didn't see him again. When I got the news about his death it saddened me and I still think of him whenever the Vietnam War is brought up. Someday I am going to visit the Wall in his memory. It is a shame he died so young. My condolences go out to his family because I know they think about him every day and we will never forget the price he paid for us. Rest in Peace, Brother.

Edward Duty was my uncle. I never met him. He died before I was born. His sister Jean Duty is my mother. If he was anything like the rest of my uncles I sure do hate that I didn't get to meet him. Thank you, Uncle Edward, for being brave and fighting for our Country.

From his niece,
Tamala Watkins-Duty
