To a great Marine - I send my love to you in heaven. You served your country with your life. Through your words of a Christmas card to me I knew your heart. The letters you sent home told the story of a young man who not only loved his country but his family. Even many miles away, in the mud and muck of Vietnam you sent words on paper to comfort your loved ones. If only I could have hugged you, told you I loved you, but I was only 1 year old when you gave your life for all of us.

I salute you, my brother, on this day and may God give us a moment in heaven so that I may finally hug my Mr. America.

I love you,
your sister

Hello, my friend, and to your relatives.

I just found this site and was scrolling through for names that I had heard rumors about. Although you, Jim and I knew each other at CHS we all lost touch after graduation. I joined the Corps in "65" and served with VMFA-542 in Da Nang "68-69". I was at MCAS, Beaufort when you were killed. I didn't find out until 2003 when I attended a "Skeeter Beater" in Cocoa. Sharon was there. You are still missed!

Rest comfortably my friend, my brother. Semper Fi!

From a friend and Marine brother,
Joe Cross
