Joe was my brother, and he was gone all too soon. Because we were six years apart in age, we were not particularly close growing up, but it seems that our close relationship had only just begun when we lost him. Though our small town was impacted strongly by his loss, we have never heard from any of his friends and buddies in the Army. My mother is still alive at this point, and both she and I would love to hear from anyone who knew him in Vietnam or elsewhere. He was a great guy, full of fun, and with a great smile. We still miss him after all these years and would appreciate contact with anyone to whom he was close.

May God bless all who have served our country, especially in this rather tragic war.

From his brother,
Gerald L. Crawford
