A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 14 Feb 1966 Charlie 1/3 was directed to conduct a search-and-destroy operation in Truang Dinh village. Three LVTP5 amphibious tractors from B Company, 1st AMTRACS were providing transportation. At 1015 the lead AMTRAC hit a mine. The explosion resulted in six deaths and 21 wounded, two of whom later died of their wounds. The eight dead were
