A Note from The Virtual Wall

The 11th Engineer Battalion Command Chronology for June 1967 contains the following entry:
"During the month of June this Battalion suffered three KIAs from enemy Rocket and Mortar attacks; 16 WIAs including three USN Corpsmen; one non-hostile death due to an accidental shooting on an ambush; and 11 non-hostile injuries."
The three hostile-fire deaths occurred on 20 June 1967, with three men from Bravo Company killed: The accidental shooting occurred four days later and cost the life of one Marine from Delta Company:
