Barney:

It has been so many years since we attended St. Leo's. Those care-free years: kick ball, your great interest in reading, history, the endless jokes, and making fun of life itself. I grieve for your life cut short, opportunities missed, the great suffering your loved ones endured. The ever present question, "only if I were there to prevent your passing".

Pray Christ that I'll meet you at Heaven's Gate, as I know you'll be a sentry on duty. With a hand shake you'll say, "Welcome home, brother - come, there are beautiful things to behold".

May the good GOD hold you in His keeping forever.
