Frank served with Golf 2/7 in Vietnam.
We, the men who served with him, wish to honor his memory.
May your true spirit and memory continue as long as the world is around. Frank, you have paid the true sacrifice. Chelu. Si Blas (Tugon) from Guam.
A Note from The Virtual WallUntil 21 Jan 1970, the 2/7 Marines were working out of LZ Baldy. On the 18th, a blocking force from Golf 2/7 ambushed a number of NVA soldiers, who dropped their weapons and fled with the Marines in hot pursuit. Although the NVA did no harm, two boobytraps did: three men from 2nd Plt, Golf 2/7 were wounded in two explosions. One of the three, Pfc Frank Blas, died later on the 18th.
