29 May 2006 Billy was my brother, 3 years older than I. He was in Vietnam for 10 days before he died. We don't know circumstances of his death. Billy was 18 years old, a great brother to a pesty younger sister. Did not know this site existed but would appreciate any info anyone may have. A Note from The Virtual Wall Three men from the 2nd Squadron, 1st Cavalry, were killed in what is coded as a vehicle accident on 11 Apr 1969. They were SP4 William J. Bannon, Milford, CT, "C" Troop; SP4 Michael E. Matta, Reedley, CA, HQ Troop; and PFC Guy T. Fletcher, Baltimore, MD, HQ Troop.
