A Note from The Virtual WallThe 1/9 Marines Command Chronology for September 1965 notes that Company "A", while in a night defensive position, exchanged mortar fire with an unknown enemy force - five incoming rounds and 13 outgoing. The incoming fire killed one Marine - Pfc Balazy, a mortarman - and wounded five others. |
