PFC Robert Alicea served with Co. "B" 720th Military Police Battalion in Vietnam.
Robert was killed in action on 01 October 1968.

Robert and I were good friends. We went through Military Police training together at Fort Gordon, Georgia, from November 1967 through January 1968. In the summer of 1968, unknown to both of us, while stationed in two different parts of the world we both volunteered for Vietnam. Robert and I were assigned to Outpost #1, in An Xuan, Vietnam. I was driving the jeep the day we drove over the land-mine. Robert was a dedicated soldier and very respected by the local Vietnamese. This Brother is missed by many! Especially his Mother, Josefina, sisters Ellie, Marge & Judy, brothers, Julio, Nick, & Richard. I'm sure there are more but two nephews in particular, Mike & James Robert. I'm sorry if I've missed anyone.

Robert Alicea is buried at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York 11747 Section H, Grave 9945.
